About Tenerife Stargazing Tour

A guide for your night under the Teide sky

Tenerife Stargazing Tour is an independent guide for everyone who wants to see the stars from Teide National Park. Here you will find how the sunset and stargazing evening with a glass of Cava and a telescope works, how the other stargazing tours compare, which viewpoints are good at night and what the park allows, what the sunset above the sea of clouds is like, which months and Moon phases suit stargazing, what to wear at altitude, what the Teide Observatory is and how to visit it, how to get up from the north or the south of the island, and how to photograph the Milky Way.

The site is available in English and five additional languages. It is written first in English.

How we research

Every number on our pages comes from a source that we link to at the bottom of the page: mostly the Instituto de Astrofísica de Canarias (IAC), the national park's own pages from the Government of the Canary Islands, the Spanish Ministry for the Ecological Transition, the Starlight Foundation, Turismo de Tenerife, AEMET and NASA. The month-by-month climate figures are AEMET's official 1981 to 2010 standard values for its Izaña station at 2,369 m beside the Teide Observatory, so they describe the high mountain, not the coast; the day length is our own calculation. Information on tours, that is duration, viewpoints, languages, inclusions, and starting prices, is taken from the offers on GetYourGuide.

Skies, Moon and weather change from night to night, and listings differ in what they include, pickup and dinner above all. That is why we tell you plainly what a listing states and what it leaves open.

How we make money

Tenerife Stargazing Tour is funded through the GetYourGuide affiliate program. When you book through one of our links, we receive a commission; your price remains the same. There are no advertising banners here, and we do not sell your data.

Who is behind it

Tenerife Stargazing Tour is run by Lukas Weber from Munich. You will find all details about the provider in the legal notice. The easiest way to send questions, comments, or corrections is to email [email protected].
